The Anarchist - Worthing Trophy Winner!

Doug Williams recently reached a feat which has only ever been done one other time in wrestling history.

This past week in Worthing he became only the second wrestler to hold the Worthing trophy twice in its 11 year history.

The quest for the trophy began at the start of August when Doug was involved in a tournament for a spot in the final.  On this evening he defeated both Paul Tyrell and Baxter Burridge to earn his sport.  Just last week he competed in the final where he defeated The UK Kid and finally Flash Barker to win the trophy.

The title has only been held twice by a wrestler once before, this being Robbie Brookside in 1995 and 1999.  The difference this time is that Doug won the trophy last year, making him the first to retain it two years in a row.

For more information on Premier Promotions, see the links page.

"The Anarchist" was originally scheduled to appear in Weinheim, Germany on the 25th of October for GWF.  This date has since been changed, and the show will now take place on the 1st of November.  This has been changed in the upcoming appearances section, so German fans should make a note of the new date!

The Anarchist on Fort Boyard!

At a recent Fort Boyard taping off the French coast, Doug Williams was the captain for Team FWA.

Although no date is presently confirmed for the airing of the episode, we have some pictures which were taken at the tapings.  These are now available for viewing in the galleries section.

More information as it becomes available.

Williams Confirmed for Gilde Wrestling Festival!

"The Anarchist" Doug Williams has been confirmed for this year's annual Gilde Wrestling Festival.

The tournament will take place in Hannover, Germany for 10 days through September.  More wrestlers will be confirmed closer to the time, but for now Williams will be appearing from 18th-27th September, so keep checking back for more details!

Matches For FWA Northern Exposure Tour Announced!

With the three date Northern Exposure Tour a little over a week away, it has been announced who The Anarchist will face on these three occasions.

The first night in Morcambe will see Williams defend his FWA Heavyweight Championship against long time nemesis "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.  Under the new FWA rules this match will be fought for two out of three falls.  The feud between these two needs absolutely no introduction!

The pair will collide again in Bolton the following night, this time in tag action.  Williams will team with "The Phoenix" Jodie Fleisch against Daniels and "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm.  Fleisch will be looking for some revenge on both Storm and Daniels for his loss at Frontiers of Honor, and what better tag partner than Doug Williams to help him achieve this.

On the final night Williams will face two opponents from the previous night, as he squares off against Jodie Fleisch and Jonny Storm in a three way contest.  This match will take place in Cleethorpes.

For dates, head over to the Upcoming Appearances page.

Dragon Takes Belt In Croydon!

Although Williams did not walk in with the moniker of Champion, he also left the Fairfield Halls in Croydon also without the title belt he claimed was his own.

Entering the hall and declaring that the belt hanging above the ring for the ladder match was his, he then had to take on both official champion American Dragon and top contender Jonny Storm in the three way match.  It was a fast paced match with any of the three could have won.  It ended as Williams went to knock both Dragon and Storm off the ladder, but Dragon managed to cling on and pull the belt down from the ceiling to take it home.  One thing's for certain - it won't be the last time that The Anarchist goes for the belt!

Pictures from the show will appear in the next few days.

Another Shot At AD - In A Ladder Match!

After the disappointment of not defeating The American Dragon earlier this month in Croydon for the World Heavy-Middleweight Championship, "The Anarchist" has another chance at the title on July 8th.  After running off with the championship belt at the last show, he will have to return it and compete against American Dragon in a ladder match!  So as to not be unfair on the original challenger scheduled for that evening, Jonny Storm, the match will be a three way contest!  It's all set up to be a heated match with plenty of rivalry there, and we hope to be able to cover the story in detail all the way up until July 8th.

24-06-03

FWA Championship Retained!

Doug Williams has seen off yet another challenger for his FWA title, this time being The American Dragon.  The match took place this past Sunday at Vendetta under the new FWA ruling of two out of three falls for championship contests.  It was a close fought affair, with Williams eventually picking up the win by 2 falls to 1.  Hopefully we will get some more about the show in the next few days.  If you can help, please send something in!

21-06-03

High Profile Matches Coming Up!

Two high profile matches stand out on the list of upcoming dates for The Anarchist.  The first is his FWA match against The American Dragon.  This battle has raged throughout the United States (notably in Ring Of Honor and King Of Indies) and has now stretched to the UK for ASW and now FWA.  This match will be for the FWA Championship, and will be two out of three falls.  Talking of Ring Of Honor, Doug will be appearing at their "Death Before Dishonor" event as he is set to take on Tom Carter.  A full list of upcoming appearances should be available within the next few days.

21-06-03

Doug Loses World Heavy-Middleweight Contest - But Gets Belt!

At the recent All Star Wrestling event from the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, Doug Williams had the chance to face one of his foes from across the pond in The American Dragon.  In a change of event from their contest in Ring Of Honor, Dragon got the win to retain his title.  The Anarchist was not happy about this, and ended up running away with the championship belt.  A match was scheduled for Dragon to take on Jonny Storm in a championship match on July 8th, however rumours are now rife that this could change.  More on the story as we get it.

21-06-03

New PWF Mid-Heavyweight Champion!

At a recent show from the Assembly Hall in Worthing, Doug Williams competed in a round robin tournament for the PWF Mid-Heavyweight championship against James Mason and Jace The Ace.  Both contests were strongly competed, with a mutual agreement reached between The Anarchist and Jace The Ace before the final match that he should go on to win.  He did this, and now holds the belt which was vacated by Flash Barker the month before.  Photos will be coming to the picture gallery from this event soon.

13-04-03

Update On Ring Of Honor Situation!

As was reported in the last update, Williams took the FWA title back from Chris Daniels at the recent Ring of Honor event.  Well, there was one fact I forgot to mention.  The match was also for the number one contendership to the Ring of Honor championship.  Doug will now face off against champion Samoa Joe on April 26th in West Miffin, PA.  "The Anarchist" is said to be pleased to have earned this opportunity, however a further qoute should be available shortly.  For more information on Ring of Honor, you can check out their website at www.rohwrestling.com.

13-04-03

Successful Match In Hamburg, Germany!

Last night "The Anarchist" competed in Hamburg for PWA.  An excellent encounter between him and Murat Bosporus took place, with Williams ending up as the eventual winner.  On the same card Doug's nemesis Robbie Brookside became PWA Champion for a short while after defeating Karsten Kretschmer for the title, before losing the belt on the same evening to Ulf Herman.  For full results from the show, click here.  Williams will be back in England in time for tomorrow's tournament for the PWF Mid-Heavyweight title with James Mason and Jace The Ace.

28-03-03

Williams to compete for PWF Mid-Heavyweight Title!

Following the recent Premier show in Worthing, The Anarchist was unfortunate not to win the PWF Heavyweight Championship, losing out to Flash Barker by 2 falls to 1 in the decider.  He now has a chance to gain a measure of revenge for this as he will compete in a round robin tournament for the PWF Mid-Heavyweight title, vacated by Barker as he could not hold two belts.  The other competitors in the tournament will be James Mason and Jace The Ace.  This series will take place at the next Worthing show, check the appearances page for further details.  In other upcoming appearances for Doug he will be heading back to Germany, while also running the TWA training school this weekend and competing in the King of the Ring tournament.

28-03-03

States Calling!

This week, Doug has competed in two matches in the US.  The first was an attempt to bring the FWA British Championship home in a match against long time nemesis Christopher Daniels.  Exactly a year to the day since Doug had lost the title, he defeated "The Fallen Angel" following a roll through German Suplex, otherwise known as "The Chaos Theory".  The match took place on a Ring of Honor show, who will be bringing over a number of their stars for "Frontiers Of Honor" in London later this year.

The second match was a dark match for NWA-TNA.  This match was not televised on their weekly Pay-Per-View, but will be shown on their other show in the States tomorrow.  The match was against James Storm, which Williams eventually lost.  We hope to have more information on Doug's time in the States tomorrow.

26-12-02

Close, but no PWA European Title!

Doug recently competed in PWA against Karsten Kretschmer for the PWA European Heavyweight Title.  Unfortunately Doug came unstuck in the 9th round of the 12 round contest, when Kretschmer caught him off the top rope with a powerslam and the three count.  However, "The Anarchist" is not going to take the defeat lying down, and swears he'll be back to bring the title to England another time!

26-12-02

Site Updates

I have added and altered some of Doug's upcoming appearances.  The EWP appearances have now been moved from this weekend to early March, see the page for more details.  Williams is now also scheduled back with PWA for another date, as well as appearing in the USA for Ring Of Honor.  Hopefully more dates will be available soon.

Also added a couple more links (ASW and Jodie Fleisch).  I know the whole page needs a revamp and I am planning to do that soon.  If you want to make sure your site is taken in to consideration, please contact me at chris.hatch@1stopwrestling.co.uk.  With regard to this e-mail address - IT IS NOT DOUG!  I realise I made a mistake on the contact page which I have just changed.  His address is at the very bottom of every page.

I also have recent results for a mini tour of the holiday camps along with a couple of other shows. I will be setting up the 2003 section shortly.

Lots more coming soon!

Merry Christmas From www.doug-williams.co.uk!

I would like to take this time on behalf of myself and Doug to thank all the visitors to the website.  One of my new years resolutions is to be a better webmaster, so I don't fall behind and lose track on things like I have done in the past year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Website Updates

All Doug's known appearances for the last few days of this year and the start of next are now online, including visits to Germany and Italy.  Note - Doug is no longer booked for the Ring Of Honor event on January 11th.

I have got round to adding all Doug's results for August to December 2002.  Adding over 50 shows was not an easy task, so if you know I've missed any, or would like to contribute a report for a match, then please feel free to contact me.

Doug's first commentary is also online.

26-12-02

The Anarchist writes his first commentary!

In a new addition to the website, Doug has written his first commentary.  In this edition he gives a run down of the year, opinions on what he thought was good and what wasn't, and a personal rundown of how he thinks he faired.  You can view the commentary by clicking here, although a link will be added to the sidebar shortly.

The Anarchist - seeing out the year in the UK!

Doug has been performing all around the country for the last couple of weeks, and will be making his final appearance of the year this Sunday for FWA in the Round Robin tournament to find the number one contender to "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.  His opponents that night will be Jonny Storm, Jodie Fleisch and A J Styles.

Two weeks ago Williams worked the TWA week long tour, where he was part of the big 16 man tag matches.  During this time Doug even picked up a victory over former WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Juventud Guerrera!  The bigger story out of the tour was the raging arguments between "The Anarchist" and "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside.  Whether they were on the same team or opponents, arguments constantly occured.  Pictures of one of these arguments can be seen in the gallery section from the Southampton 16 man tag match.

Last week saw three appearances for All Star Promotions of Merseyside.  On Monday, Doug fought in Fareham teamed with Robbie Dynamite against Spiderman and The UK Kid.  This was not to be Doug's night is he picked up the loss.  The next night saw another tag match where Doug was not on the same page as his partner, Flash Barker, and eventually walked out allowing Flash to be beaten by P N News and The Brooklyn Brawler. Saturday in Glouster saw a return to form as Doug picked up the win in another tag match.  All results are currently being collated to add to the reports section.  I am also starting to write up some match reports.  If you attended a show, please don't forget to send results and reports to the webmaster using the link on the contacts page.

An Update - Finally!

An awful lot has happened in the last 5 months, which makes it hard to cover everything in the detail it deserves.  I take responsibility for not being a good webmaster and keeping stuff up to date.  However that problem is slowly getting sorted, and hopefully in the next couple of weeks everything will be up to date, including a slightly new design we are working on.

Before I get going, I'm going to put a shameless plug in.  Last couple of months I've been working with www.1stopwrestling.co.uk to get the site going, and it's now turned in to a really good site for the latest news and results.

To follow on from the last news article all that time ago, Doug competed in the 4 way iron man match.  Although he was not the winner, it was a display that everyone has given credit to.  He has since had a singles match against Chris Daniels, and a 6 man tag match.  He will also be returning for the promotion in the new year.

Doug is also still reigning as TWA European Heavyweight Champion, after a few notable defenses.  One of these was against Adam Angel in Weymouth, where the referee did not see an interference by Ricky Knight to help Doug win.  And remember, if the ref didn't see it, then it never happened!

After winning the Universal British Championship in Southampton, Doug has since made one notable defense of it, when he defeated former WCW star Dave "Rocky" Taylor at the Colston Hall in Bristol.  It may have taken a belt shot to win the contest, but it was a significant victory.

It hasn't all been success though, as Doug recently lost the All Star British Championship to "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside in Liverpool.  The contest was eventually announced as a ladder match, and Brookside eventually won the hard-fought contest.  However, "The Anarchist" will no doubt get his rematch one day.

The appearances page is now up to date, which shows that Doug already has bookings for Germany and America in the new year, as well as All Star Promotions in the next couple of weeks.  Now that we are back up to date, we hope to keep it that way!

Doug Comments On Ring of Honor!

At the recent Ring of Honor event, Doug Williams did what many people thought he wouldn't - win Bracket C of their championship tournament to earn a spot in their four way championship match.  After defeating Jay Briscoe in the first round, he went on to avenge his loss to American Dragon from the King of Indies.  Although "The Anarchist" has not made a direct quote on the issue, he has made it very clear that his intentions are to go back to the US and claim the Ring of Honor title.  He has said that he doesn't care who his opponents are, as they will all succumb to the Chaos Theory.  With an hour time limit and the most falls to decide the winner, it will be a tough match to win, but Williams is certain that he can make the grade.

01-07-02

The Anarchist - Universal British Champion!

On the 18th June, The Anarchist defeated both Drew McDonald and The Zebra Kid in the same night to become the Universal British Champion.  This means that Doug now represents all of the major promotions in Britain, including All Star, TWA, FWA, WAW and Premiere Promotions.  After being presented with the belt, Doug stated the following.

"I'd like to say it was an honour to win the belt here tonight in Southampton.  But I can't.  As far as I'm concerned, you can all go back in to the sea where your town came from."

Williams was then challenged to a tag team match at the next Southampton show.  However, after the lack of respect shown to him by the Southampton fans, Doug has decided to appear at Croydon that night.  The rest of Doug's upcoming appearances will be updated in the next couple of days.

Doug Comments On Universal British Championship!

I recently managed to catch up with The Anarchist, and this was his quote regarding the crowning of a Universal British champion, to be decided on June 18th at the Southampton Guildhall.

"Once again, The Anarchist has been overlooked by British wrestling promoters.  I should not even have to compete in this tournament, as the title should be mine by right.  As well as being the All Star Heavyweight Champion and the TWA European Heavyweight champion, I also still see myself as FWA British champion, as I never gave up in that match.  At least with Flash Barker in the tournament, there may be a chance for some revenge.  However, whoever steps in my way on June 18th will end up finding out what Anarchy is all about, as I leave Southampton as the Universal British Heavyweight Champion."

Strong words there.  For more information on the show, you can visit the TWA website at www.thewrestlingalliance.co.uk.

Ring of Honor bracket C announced!

The Anarchist is to be involved in bracket C of the four brackets on June 22nd for Ring of Honor.  In his first round match, Doug will be taking on Jay Briscoe, in what could well be a classic technical encounter.  If Williams is victorious in this encounter, which is very confident, he will take on the winner of American Dragon Vs Bio-Hazard.  If American Dragon wins his match, then it will be a rematch from last year's King of Inides quarter final, but Doug will be hoping for a different result this time round.  If The Anarchist wins this match, then he will advance to the show on July 27th, where he will compete against the other bracket winners in a one hour time limit match, with the winner of the most falls becoming the first Ring of Honor champion.  I'm sure everyone wishes Doug the best of luck on his trip to the States.

Contact Updates

There is new contact information on the contacts page.  The main change is that you should now IGNORE the e-mail address at the bottom of every page.  My e-mail address is now chris.hatch@1stopwrestling.co.uk.  I will eventually change all the links at the bottom, but there are around 200 pages now, so it won't be easy.  For more contact methods, check the contacts page.

Important Appearance Announcements!

Over the next few weeks, Doug has some very important appearances.  Some of the main ones are listed below.

- "The Anarchist" is signed to take part in the Ring of Honor event on June 22nd.  He will be appearing in a 4 man tournament bracket, with 4 different tournament taking place that night.  The winner of each 4 man block will then square off on July 27th in a one hour four way match, with the winner becoming Ring of Honor champion.  Block A already contains Jonny Storm Vs Jodie Fleisch, with more tournament brackets set to be announced very soon.  As soon as we know, you'll know.

- Doug is also set to compete in a tournament to be the Universal British Champion.  The tournament is being run by The Wrestling Alliance, but is being endorsed by all the major British promotions.  The show will take place at the Southampton Guildhall on June 18th.  More on this story as it is made available.  Williams will also be the trainer for the TWA training weekend, to be held next weekend - 25/26 May.  For more information on both events, visit the TWA website here.

I will hopefully be catching up with Doug next weekend, so when I do, I will post a full list of appearances for the coming months.  I am also hoping that some merchandise will be available on the site.  Check back regularly for more updates.

Mass News Update

It's been a long time since I've been able to update the site.  Through exams, internet changes and various other insignificant happenings, I've had very little time.  Anyway, I'm now back on my feet, so look for regular updates to the website.  Now for a little recap of what's been going down over the last three months.

First of all has to be Revival.  Doug beat off competition from Flash Barker and now WWF star Eddie Guerrero to reach the final, where he was beaten in a hard fought contest by Jodie Fleisch.  To view photos of the event, visit the photo gallery and click the Revival link.  Doug also had an FWA British title defence, again against Flash Barker.  Due to some interference by Dino Scarlo of the Old School, Williams lost the belt when he didn't actually submit.  Although "The Anarchist" has not spoken to me directly about the matter, he has made it clear that he is bitter about the loss, and that he will be back for the belt.

Doug has worked nearly every night in recent weeks, having many high quality matches.  One of the more noticeable matches came in Southampton Guildhall when Doug defeated Julio Torres and Phil Powers in a three way hardcore match.  Pictures from the match will be online soon.  A full list of results for 2002 should be up sometime next weekend, along with many upcoming dates.

Doug Comments on Revival

The Anarchist has passed along the following comments concerning this Saturday's event from Crystal Palace.  It is predicted that Doug will go a long way in the King of England tournament.  Yesterday, he made these remarks.

"Obviously I am very excited about the biggest show of the year so far - Revival - on Saturday and fresh from my sound beating of Christopher Daniels I feel more than confident about becoming 'King of England'

I have shown time and time again that I can mix it with the best of them and come Saturday nothing will change.

So whether you're English, Scottish, American, Mexican or German it makes no difference to me because you will all get a taste of Anarchy in the UK!"

Williams Wins TWA Tag Titles!

This past Saturday in Margate, Doug put his differences with "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside to one side to fight for the tag titles against "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Julio Torres.  The match ended up with Doug and Robbie walking away with the tag straps.  The team looks extremely good, but will they be able to stick together when they both have the aim of taking the TWA Championship from Justin Starr, and after their volatile relationship in the FWA?  Only time will tell!

Updates To Be Done

Apologies, but I have got extremely behind recently.  I have some new dates to post for Doug, including a tour of Germany.  Also, there are new pictures to go up in the gallery section, and the results list needs an update.  I am meeting with Doug on Saturday, and will hopefully have the updates done shortly after.  Thanks for your patience.

Doug Hits Back at TWA!

Doug Williams has hit back at the decision by The Wrestling Alliance to remove him from their Championship Night event at the Southampton Guildhall.  The match was eventually won by Justin Starr, who was then pinned by Robbie Brookside, who was in turn pinned by Drew McDonald under the new 24/7 ruling.  However, Doug had this to say on being removed from the show.

'Scott Conway is obviously paranoid about 'The Anarchist' Doug Williams - an element he can't control - winning the Heavyweight title and making it more prestigious by defending it on other promoters shows.  A cursory glance at my win loss record last year shows I won more than I lost.  In fact the majority of my losses were in tag matches where I can only blame my partners incompetences for the defeats.'

Whether or not Doug will appearing on TWA events soon is unclear, but when he does I'm sure he'll be even more outspoken on the matter!

Also remember - Doug will be on TalkSport TONIGHT from 8P.M.  A full review of his appearance, along with other details from the program, will be available later in the evening at www.theprowrestlingconnection.com.

Matches Announced and Changed!

We start this update with bad news.  Doug has been removed from the main event at the TWA "Championship Night" event, after The Wrestling Alliance have claimed that his record as of late has not been good enough to warrant a title shot.  I am hoping to get word from Doug on this in the next couple of days, as I'm sure he's not a happy chap!

Doug's opponent for the "Crunch" event in Hertfordshire on February 1st.  He will be facing none other than "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.  These two have faced each other in the past, most notably on the UWA Wrestling Rampage television show, where Doug was screwed out of a win by "Hot Stuff" Stevie Knight.  Since then, Daniels has won the King of Indies tournament (2000) and Doug reached the quarter finals the following year.  This should turn out to be a very heated match, with both having a lot to prove.

The Anarchist will be in the studio live this weekend on the only British wrestling radio show on TalkSport.  Doug will be promoting the upcoming "Revival" event in London, which I will be there to cover.  Although Doug's involvement in the show is not yet confirmed, something may well be revealed on TalkSport this Saturday between 8-10PM.  For more information on the show, visit www.talksport.net and follow the Tommy Boyd link.

Happy New Year from www.doug-williams.co.uk!

On behalf of both myself and Doug, I'd like to wish all of our visitors a prosperous 2002.  As a small present, I now have all of Doug's results for 2001 posted in brief, and his appearances for January and February added.  I have a few full reports to post myself, but if you have a review of a match you would like posted, then please feel free to e-mail me with it, and I'll make sure it gets posted.  You will be given full credit for it.

Once again, happy new year, and keep checking back in the future for further updates, as I have many pictures and other "stuff" to add!

FWA and TWA title news

At the recent FWA show, Doug Williams defended the FWA British title, the belt for which was in the possession of "Wildcat" Robbie Brookside.  This match went to a time limit draw, meaning Doug retained the title.  However, Robbie again left with the championship belt.  Needless to say, Doug will be after his belt back on the next FWA show.

Due to Robbie Brookside's appearance on the FWA show, and further confrontations he has had backstage with promoter Scott Conway, Robbie has been stripped of the TWA British title, and suspended until further notice.  TWA have since announced a title match for their upcoming "Championship Night" in Southampton.  Doug will be getting the title shot against highly rated Justin Starr.  Having spoken to Doug on the issue, he seems intent on bringing in the TWA title to stand alongside his FWA one when he retrieves it.  Further rumour is that Brookside may still show up on Championship Night.  The only way to find out live is to be at the Southampton Guildhall on January 17th.  If you are going along, drop me a line by clicking here, as I will be attending the show.

Results for March and April have been added to the reports page.  Full reports for a couple of the shows will be posted soon, along with the rest of the results for 2001.  The update process is rather a time fulfilling one, and hopefully once this is done I will be around with more news updates, as well as the many pictures I have been sent.  Thanks for your help and patience in updates since I took over.

Website Update

Only a minor update today.  Added the rest of Doug's results for February 2001.  I am in the process of adding all the results until the present day, but there are quite a few!

Doug talks about Lights, Camera, Acton

This coming Friday, 14th December, Doug Williams is taking part in the FWA show "Lights, Camera, Acton".  The show is taking place at the Acton Assembly Halls in Acton, London.  Doug will be heavily involved with the "Old School Vs New School" feud, which has been raging for a while now.  He will take on Robbie Brookside, in an FWA British Championship match.  Robbie stole the belt from Doug at "High School Hell", and Doug is now determined to regain possession of the belt as proof he is the champion.  Doug had this to say on the matter.

"Take a good long look at the belt Brookside 'cause Friday night is the last time you'll be seeing it. I don't care if you're old school, new school or primary school, to me it's just Wrestling and that's what I do best. Brookside there's going to be Anarchy in Acton and you have the pleasure of being right in the middle of it!"

Strong words, and the best way to see if he can live up to them is to go to Acton this Friday.  I will have results from the match (and most of Doug's others over the last ten months) very soon.

Website under new ownership!

This is no hoax.  I've been asked by Doug to take control of the site, and keep it up to date from now on.  A brief introduction of me - I'm Chris Hatch, I've been to many British shows over the last three years, and have seen Doug live many times now.  Hopefully I can bring you the quality of updates a wrestler like Doug's website deserves.  Stay tuned, as over the next few days I will be adding as much as possible since his last update in February, including results and upcoming appearances.  If you find a problem with the site, or would like to mail me for any reason, then please click here.  A note to AIM messenger users - that is not my screen name.  If for any reason you want my screen name, send me a mail and I'll give you it then.  Thanks, and stay tuned!

* All pages now have my e-mail address at the bottom.
* Upcoming appearances added for December 2001 and January 2002.  More to follow for these months shortly.

All the happenings since June

- I went to the States on holiday in September.  Whilst over there I worked for a promotion called NECW, check out their website www.necwwrestling.com. I had a great time and met Walter 'Killer' Kowalski, a true legend.  I also met Jason Knight of ECW fame ('how do you like my new suit??') who was a great guy.

- Look out for a Ready Brek commercial featuring Wrestling on the TV.  I worked as Wrestling Co-ordinator on this, basically choreographing the wrestling routine and giving advice on camera shots.

- For those of you in Scotland I also worked on a commercial for the Scottish University of Industry as Stunt Co-ordinator.  This had nothing to do with Wrestling but my involvement was showing the actor how to fall down some stairs correctly.

- Worked hard on shows throughout the year. It's safe to say that 2000 was my busiest year ever notching up over 100 shows.  Unfortunately I can't remember the details of all of them - many were summer camp shows which I don't generally keep the results of.

Doug Definitely NOT at Evil Intentions

Well there you go - it's confirmed that I am not appearing at the show on August 5th.  It's a shame that nobody has told me officially or spoken to me personally about why I'm not wanted.  It's a shame because at the moment it looks like my Northern fans won't be able to see me anywhere else.

Dropped from Evil Intentions! Maybe Not!

Who knows what is going on at the moment?  We will have to wait and see what the situation is but I hate to think that all the time and money spent on advertising me appearing is going to go to waste.

Doug featuring in Sussex Tournament.

July is the time that Sussex based Premier Promotions begin their Summer Tournaments at Eastbourne Winter Gardens and Worthing Pavilion Theatre.  I have been invited to appear - dates will appear very soon.  It may also give me a chance to get a bona fide shot at the PWF Mid-Heavyweight Title currently held by old nemesis Flash Barker.

Dropped from Evil Intentions!

Yes you have read it right.  Apparently myself, along with Johnny Storm and Alex Shane have been cancelled of the Evil Intentions show on August 5th.  The reason??  Anyone's guess as I heard it from a third party.  My suspicion is that it has all to do with politics and ego but that's an issue that needs to be covered elsewhere.

Doug to work on Wrestling Alliance Bushwhackers tour.

From the middle of May the Wrestling Alliance will start their third tour of England this year and it will include the Bushwhackers. I will feature prominently on many of the shows on the tour. Further Americans are due to join the tour later on and I will update my appearances section when I receive my confirmed dates.

Doug beats Kerry in Grimsby

The second UWA House Show in Grimsby saw ‘The Anarchist’ take on Kerry Cabrerro in their first ever singles encounter. The action was fast and furious, at one point spilling out onto the floor into the crowd. Doug was victorious when tag team Too Far Gone try to interfere on Kerry’s behalf only to cause his defeat. Paul Tyrell accidentally smacked Kerry with a Tag Title belt, which led Doug to score the pin.

Doug ROBBED of Title!

A conspiracy against the Anarchist was responsible for Doug's loss of the title at Barking. With suspicious actions from both Danny Royal and Jonny Storm, The Anarchist was done out of retaining his title. And who was this Official anyway? Who made him a Championship referee all of a sudden? UWA Officials that's who, bowing to the whinges and moans of The Beef. The Anarchist will retalliate - Anarchy will reign in the UWA.

Doug to gatecrash UWA TV Studios?

Rumour has it that Doug, sick to the death of the poor representation he is getting on UWA TV, will gatecrash the LiveTV studios this week in order to spice up the programming. Doug is apparently livid that former manager Steve Linsky is getting more airtime than he, which Doug has no doubts Steve will use to belittle and put down the "Anarchist" at every opportunity.

Doug vs. Danny at Barking, Sept. 3rd

Doug is due to battle with "British Beef" Danny Royal at the UWA TV Taping on 3/9/99. Doug had these words to say -

"As far as I'm concerned, despite recent EU directives, "British Beef" should still be banned and if anything after the dog-like beating I give Mr. Royal there will be a bad taste left in HIS mouth."

Strong words - let's see if Doug can live up to it and retain the title in his 3rd defence.

Doug to appear at controversial EWW show on 20th August

"The Anarchist" will step into the middle of controversy when he appears on the EWW "Scorched Earth" show later this month. The promotion has garnered much mainstream publicity due to their "hardcore" matches featuring blood, barbed wire and "pagan-orientated" gimmicks. Doug will face Stevie Knight in a Ladder Match in a throwback to their UWA feud. The UWA have NOT sanctioned this match therefore neither the UWA Title or UWA TV Title will be on the line.

Doug triumphant at "Bulldog Bash"

Doug made a special appearance at the bikers festival on 7th August wrestling Johnny Storm in a UWA sanctioned non-title match. Doug scored the winning pin in approximately 12 minutes and had these words to say after the match - [Match Report]

"Johnny Storm I now have a healthy respect for you as a wrestler considering you faced overwhelming odds when wrestling "The Anarchist". You showed unparalleled skill, aggression and fortitude in your defeat. Just grow 3ft and you might have a serious chance! Ha, ha - only kidding. Ditch that idiot manager of yours and I'll be happy to wrestle you for the Title - however it will have to wait until I've dealt with "BSE" Danny Royal."

31-07-1999

Doug came out top in a four man knockout tournament at the Pavillion Theatre
in Worthing on the 29-07-1999. The Anarchist beat Steve Noble in the semi,
and then Pete Collins in the final. See the Match Reports for more details.

UWA Heavyweight Champ
Both Steve Knight and Kerry Cabrero subscribed to The Anarchist's Chaos
Theory on Thursday the 10th of June, as Doug beat them like dogs in the UWA
Triple Trouble match up.

With chair shots galore, powerbombs, amazing dives over and through the
ropes Doug Williams proved himself worthy of the UWA Heavyweight title.

As someone said on the UWA Fan Forum:
"best f***ing match by Brits on British soil ever"

A full match report will be available asap.
